CHARITY CONCERT OF PLACIDO DOMINGO ON THE RED SQUARE IN MOSCOW

On July 18, 2001, Placido Domingo performed in a charity concert on the Red Square in Moscow.

The famous tenor’s performance was accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia (conductor – Eugene Kohn, USA). The concert lasted over an hour and thirty minutes.

This unique concert program included traditional classical songs – Puccini, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Strauss, Verdi, and others. There were also some songs of Bernstein and Rogers.

Audience: Among the 2500 spectators (1200 free tickets for students of music schools and colleges). There were also about 500 special guests and journalists on the tribunes, invited by the organizers.

JSA was the main technical contractor at this event. It managed the production and installed a large stage, temporary infrastructure structures, and two VIP tribunes for guests.
